This mission tasks players with tracking down fifteen missing members of the Gotham City Fire Department who have been taken hostage by ruthless thugs and militia forces across the city. Finding these scattered hostages requires keen investigative work as they do not all automatically appear on your main map tracker.
Rescuing the Captured Crew on Bleake Island
Bleake Island serves as the introductory region for this questline and hosts a total of six missing firefighters. The initial rescue operation begins at Dixon Dock West, where Firefighter Leary-Wood is being held by a group of five armed captors inside a small security office. You can easily gain a tactical advantage by utilizing the glass ceiling above the room to execute a devastating Fear Multi-Takedown.
After securing the initial objective, players must search the rest of the island to locate the remaining five crew members. Notable locations include the water's edge just northeast of the bridge leading to the ACE Chemicals compound, as well as a terrace garden bar situated in mid-Chinatown. These late-game encounters feature significantly higher difficulty curves, including specialized enemies equipped with shields, stun sticks, and detective mode jammers. One crew member is hidden beyond the northern Trade House docks, an area tightly monitored by a sniper positioned on a nearby lighthouse tower.
Another high-stakes encounter takes place near Ryker Heights, where players must find a hidden manhole cover to access an underground building structure. To reach this group, you will need to utilize the Batmobile power winch to bring down a reinforced structural wall before engaging the hostile forces. Successfully clearing all fifteen locations is mandatory before the final coordinates for the captive Fire Chief are unlocked to conclude the storyline.
